I seek to Instigate the Creation of a:
Voluntary ‘Fair Wage Certificate Program’
that would bestow a Label, Seal, and/or Certificate on
Business Entities (Companies, Businesses, or Corporations), that Employ or Hire workers, which desire to demonstrate their Commitment to and Compliance with a standard of:
‘Merit Pay’ based Fair Wages
By displaying the Certification in Marketing Material and Employee Recruitment: Job Seekers and Consumers alike can leverage their Time and Money to reward entities that pay their workers fairly...
Worth...A concept bouncing around a lot lately
Particularly, that of a woman compared to that of a man, in the workforce.
The conversation of income inequality simmers. Constantly.
...at many points, reaching a boiling point.
I used to think that the pay differential among men and woman was mostly derived from the female ratios propagating their dominated fields (such as reception, teaching, nursing). The truth is, women statistically make less than men, in most fields, where men hold those same positions. So as not to compare a carpenter to a school teacher or 'male dominated' to a 'female dominated' field, we can simply look at most industries and find that statistic to be true. Why is this happening? What can be done about it?
